The European Commission’s Directorate General for Research and Innovation is organizing the event ‘A Cloud for all’, an online space for reflection and debate that will bring together professionals in the field of Cultural Heritage on March 15.

The various speakers who will participate in this meeting will discuss the implementation of a collaborative community of Cultural Heritage professionals and the importance of the initiative ‘European Collaborative Cloud for Cultural Heritage’ or European Collaborative Cloud for Cultural Heritage.

This tool will be a unique digital infrastructure that will favor large-scale and unprecedented transdisciplinary collaboration between experts, technicians and professionals related to Cultural Heritage from all the territories that make up the European Union.

The project has a planned budget of around 110 million euros until 2025 from Horizon Europe, the EU’s research and innovation framework program for the period 2021-2027, to support its development.

The Cloud will promote cooperation between the cultural, creative and technological sectors in order to leverage advances in digital infrastructures to enhance the preservation of Europe’s cultural heritage.

Mariya Gabriel, European Commissioner for Innovation, stressed the need to bring the treasures that make up the rich heritage of different countries to a new digital dimension, which will benefit society as a whole.

All professionals interested in the project can participate and get involved in the event to be held on March 15.
