The CGAC of Santiago de Compostela hosts the presentation of the Institutional Chair of Digital Cultural Heritage Xunta de Galicia-CRUSOE-NTT Data.
The event will be attended by various representatives of all organizations and sectors involved in this initiative, which seeks to be a catalyst for the promotion of actions and measures related to the digitization of heritage, especially those related to the Way of St. James, in the field of teaching, research and dissemination of knowledge.
Among these personalities were the conselleiro of Cultura, Educación, Formación Profesional e Universidades, Román Rodríguez; the general director of the Axencia para a Modernización Tecnolóxica de Galicia (AMTEGA), Julián Cerviño; the rector of the University of Santiago and general secretary of CRUSOE, Antonio López; Óscar Abril, global responsible for Public Sector for NTT Data; and Juan Castro, scientific head of the Chair.
Previously, the monitoring committee of the Institutional Chair of Digital Cultural Heritage shall be constituted., made up of eleven representatives of the three institutions involved in the implementation of this entity.
During the first meeting of the monitoring committee, the members will discuss the calendar of activities and initiatives planned for the period 2023-2024.
Among the most important measures are the launch of the first edition of the Inter-University Master’s Degree in Digital Cultural Heritage; the definition and design of specific instruments to promote business entrepreneurship related to the digital transition of Cultural Heritage in the Euroregion; and dissemination and outreach actions through international conferences and digital exhibitions.
